With professional branding and consistent marketing in three years the Chamber's biggest event has become the third highest-rated race in all of Idaho, Montana, and Washington.

The Story of Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce

The Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce in northern Idaho hosts multiple community events a year, but its most successful is the Jackass Half Marathon and 5K. Even in the wake of COVID, marketing for the race saw success after success, including selling out every year.

Making noise for a good cause

Through a multi-year process, Offset Marketing helped the chamber rebrand and brand its most prominent event. Since its creation, the Chamber has done successful work for the community and local businesses. In 2019, the committee came up with the half-marathon event to increase revenue for community projects.

We got started with a full audit of the chamber's marketing channels. Branding and marketing strategies included a main event brand, annual sub-branding, social media and website assets, marketing posters, stickers, finisher shirts, and beer can labels.

The Results

Once we streamlined other marketing channels to support the announcement of the deadlines, race spots started selling out. After launching social media and awareness campaigns the third year of the event became the largest grossing year tripling the first year's profits.
